In realizing the priority to develop and encourage bio-agriculture, the Johor State Government has alienated approximately 9,000 acres of land situated in Mukim in Sedili Kecil and Mukim Pantai Timur, District of Kota Tinggi, Johor designated Bio Desaru-The Organic Food Valley and to turn this development into a biotech-driven halal agro food valley and to establish Bio Desaru as one of the State’s catalysts as well as a production hub in realizing the formation of a sustainable “safe and halal food chain”.
Bio Desaru will be a truly distinctive Organic Food Valley, the first of its kind in the region, with Bio-Security as the thrust of its inception.
Bio Desaru is chosen to ride on the existing strength of popular Desaru tourist resort spot which is a prominent brand by itself,and reinforced with the organic strength of the Biotechnological element closely associated with the proposed organic food valley development.
